Description

Included in the Ceremony are the following Defence Personnel:

Commodore Maloney who presents the commission,
Lt. Cdr Gerry DeRenzy who administers the oat,
Lt. Dom Terry (Cork) who removes the cover from the uniform,
CPO Dick Larkin who gives the first salute and takes the commissioning certificate,
Lt. Albert Farrell is the Officer in charge of An Slua Muiri Guard of Honour,
Lt. Cdr Frank Lynch (SM) is the Parade Commander.

Terry was regularly stationed at Fort Camden during annual training courses. While Skipper of the Sail Training Yacht STY Creidne Terry was both a Recruiting Officer and Training Officer for the Naval Service Reserve.

Along with being a skilled Yacht Master (IYA Certificate) Terry was a First Rate Radio Operator having qualified with First Class Honours as a Marconi Radio Officer.
